Transparency as a north
In our organization By ParityOur goal is to raise awareness about the poverty that exists in our country and to fight it within our possibilities. We also know that in order to carry out generous and positive actions, we must have a series of moral values that serve as a foundation and motivation to help others and do good.
We believe that one of these values is transparency, which although it has several meanings depending on the context in which it is used, in our case we refer to that quality to which democratic governments and their public servants should aspire, in order to carry out all their actions with the greatest possible clarity. Thus, the people they serve will be able to have knowledge of such important things as the way in which the public funds that come from their own efforts and pockets are used; to give an example.
When the government's management and activities are clearly shared with the people, they do not lend themselves to serve the personal economic, political or power interests of unscrupulous individuals or persons whose goal is their own benefit and not that of those who elected them.
On the other hand, transparency is the best ingredient to counteract its negative counterpart: corruption.
The latter, apart from being immoral, has serious consequences that we in For Parity We are very interested in combating, especially those that we consider to be among the most harmful that affect our society: poverty and the consequent violation of human rights.
What does not remain hidden can be avoided for the benefit of all. Let us all keep in mind the importance of transparency and help to promote, defend and demand it.
